To connect a MacBook to an external monitor, use a USB-C to HDMI adapter or cable โ modern MacBooks output video directly through their USB-C/Thunderbolt ports. Plug in the adapter, connect HDMI to the monitor, and macOS detects the display automatically.
Connection Methods
USB-C to HDMI ๐ Wired
Get a USB-C to HDMI adapter or cable.
Connect USB-C to the MacBook and HDMI to the monitor.
Open System Settings โ Displays.
Click 'Arrange' to position the monitor and choose mirror or extend.
